An Album and a Listing for Lily Allen
The musician Lily Allen and the actor David Harbour have listed their marital home in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn — just two days after the release of her album “West End Girl,” which includes intimate details about their breakup, which occurred several months ago, and with their decision to buy their brownstone.
The asking price for the late-19th-century home is $7.995 million, more than double the $3.35 million purchase price four years ago. Carl Gambino of Compass is the listing broker.
The house — four stories high and 22 feet wide — has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a powder room, along with three fireplaces and a finished basement with a gym and laundry.
During happier times, in 2023, Ms. Allen and Mr. Harbour gave a lighthearted tour of the home to Architectural Digest, pointing out the coffee bar and an ornate chandelier in the kitchen, which the singer described as “luxurious and warm and functional.”
The whimsical “garden room” has colorful floral wallpaper, a working fireplace and a double-sided couch, so the couple “can argue and be looking at each other and relax at the same time,” Ms. Allen told Architectural Digest. “We play board games here and read books and play on the iPad,” Mr. Harbour added.
The tone was far less jovial in the title track to Ms. Allen’s album, which intimated that the decision to buy the brownstone was largely Mr. Harbour’s.
Now I’m looking at houses with four or five floors
And you’ve found us a brownstone, said ‘You want it? It’s yours.’
A Weekend Home?
Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. the R&B singer The Weeknd, bought a waterfront estate in Coral Gables, Fla., a Miami suburb, for $50 million.
The recently closed purchase, in the gated Gables Estates community, is a record sale price for Coral Gables, according to Eddy Martinez and Roland Ortiz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, who brokered the transaction. The property had been listed for $54.9 million.
The nearly 19,000-square-foot mansion, with eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and two powder rooms, sits on a 1.24-acre peninsula with panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. Included are a yacht-size private dock, a 62-foot outdoor pool and a five-car garage.
Mr. Tesfaye, a Grammy Award-winning performer, also owns a mansion in Los Angeles’s Bel Air neighborhood.
Mark Wahlberg’s Lakefront Home
The actor Mark Wahlberg and his wife, the model Rhea Durham, are the new owners of a 2.67-acre, lakefront estate in the Delray Beach, Fla., area.
They bought the property, known as Palazzo di Lago, in the exclusive Stone Creek Ranch community, in March for $32.6 million, according to the deed, a huge discount from its $45 million asking price.
Anchoring the landscaped estate is a 17,800-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and two powder rooms, along with a wine cellar, home theater, gym, cigar lounge and hidden safe room.
Outdoor amenities include a massive saltwater lagoon pool, tennis court and outdoor chessboard with life-size pieces.
Mr. Wahlberg and Ms. Durham had previously lived with their four children in Las Vegas.
Roseanne Barr’s ‘Nut’ House
The comedian Roseanne Barr said goodbye to her 46-acre farm on Hawaii’s Big Island.
The property, on the island’s northeast coast, was her primary residence for 18 years and also the subject of a short-lived 2011 reality TV series, “Roseanne’s Nuts,” which chronicled her life growing macadamia nuts and raising livestock with her partner, Johnny Argent, and son Jake Pentland.
While it’s not known how much Ms. Barr actually earned from the farm, she did reap a tidy profit from its sale. A local rancher recently purchased it for $2.6 million, $650,000 above the asking price. (She had paid $1.78 million in 2007.)
The farm sold within days of its listing, according to Ms. Barr’s broker, Paul Stukin of Deep Blue HI. “I had people flying in from five different states and three different European countries, and of course, the neighboring islands,” he said.
The sprawling property features a 2,716-square-foot house with four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and a lanai overlooking the coastline and tree orchards. Other features include a pool and pool house, art studio, greenhouse, and a bamboo-enclosed outdoor shower and soaking tub.
Grady Jarrett Sale Kickoff
Grady Jarrett, an N.F.L. defensive tackle, has put his Georgia estate on the market months after signing a three-year, $43.5 million contract with the Chicago Bears.
Mr. Jarrett had played for the Atlanta Falcons for 10 seasons, from 2015 to 2024, before being released by the team in March. He and his wife, Aja Thorpe, reportedly bought a home in Vernon Hills, Ill., a Chicago suburb, two months later.
His sprawling, 2.5-acre estate in Sandy Springs, Ga., an Atlanta suburb, is on the market for $6.25 million. Robin Collins of Ansley Real Estate/Christie’s International Real Estate is the listing broker.
The main house, extending 11,480 square feet, has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two powder rooms. There are plenty of amenities, including a full gym; a “recovery room” with a sauna, cold plunge and hot tub; an outdoor pool; and a basketball court.
Christine McVie Estate Sale
The musician Christine McVie’s London penthouse was sold by her estate, three years after her death at the age of 79. The purchase price was 6.65 million pounds, or around $8.9 million, below the £6.95 million asking price, according to the listing agent, Yahya Swallem of Beauchamp Estates.
Ms. McVie, a songwriter, vocalist and keyboardist for Fleetwood Mac, had bought the apartment, in London’s exclusive Belgravia neighborhood, about 10 years ago, just after rejoining the group.
Measuring about 2,552 square feet, the penthouse sits on the top two floors of its building. It has three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and a spacious private roof deck.
Carl Icahn Looking for Buyer
The activist investor Carl Icahn has put his Midtown Manhattan penthouse back on the market — this time with a hefty price reduction. The new asking price: $23 million.
The apartment, a duplex made up of three combined units, sits on the 51st and 52nd floors atop the Museum Tower, at 15 West 53rd Street. It had been on the market for $30 million in 2020, then delisted the following year.
Mr. Icahn and his wife, Gail, relocated to Indian Creek Village, an exclusive Miami-area island, in 2018.
Extending around 14,000 square feet, the New York penthouse features seven bedrooms, 11 and a half bathrooms, two wood-burning fireplaces, and striking cityscape and Central Park vistas from its oversize windows and 2,000 square feet of terraces.
The listing broker is Patricia Vance of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
