Early morning tryst and heist.

A couple caught on security cameras having sex inside an Arizona eatery allegedly capped off their steamy encounter by stealing cash, liquor and a phone, police said.

Scottsdale police are investigating the early-morning break-in at Mon Cheri, a rose-themed restaurant in the Old Town section of Scottsdale known for its pink décor and Instagram-ready displays.

Owner Lexi Caliskan said the bizarre burglary began around 3:50 a.m. Saturday, when security footage showed a man and woman entering the property, engaging in sexual activity among the floral decorations near the outdoor patio seating area, then forcing their way inside.

“They got caught in the moment, there’s roses everywhere, maybe it was kind of romantic, but modern-day Bonnie and Clyde,” Caliskan told ABC15 Arizona.

When employees arrived later that morning, they found evidence of a break-in — and of what happened before it.

“The first thing I noticed was that the whole stand was totally, like, torn apart. There was things all over,” Caliskan said.

The suspects made off with about $450 in cash, an iPhone 5 used as the hostess phone, and a bottle of Bacardi rum, Caliskan told FOX 10. Two doors were damaged during the burglary, she added.

The sticky-fingered pair were seen wearing masks before taking them off, giving investigators clear footage of their faces, police said. Authorities have not yet identified the suspects.

Its lavish floral décor and signature pink pasta have made it one of the city’s most photographed restaurants.

Caliskan said her staff found the violation more disturbing than the loss of property.

“It’s such a happy and positive place, so the fact that they did that on our establishment is just so disturbing,” said lead server Caitlyn Sorensen.

“Like this isn’t the place for it. Yes, we’re full of romance and happiness, but that’s not what we’re wanting here,” she said.

Despite the unsettling incident, Caliskan reopened for business the same day, keeping her sense of humor about what she described as a surreal scene.
