PHOENIX — Turf Paradise will soon embark on its 70th season of horse racing in Phoenix.
The track, which is located near 19th Avenue and Bell Road, will kick off its new season on Nov. 10. The season will span 102 days and conclude on May 2.
“Fans can expect an exciting season of live, local horse racing featuring some of the nation’s top horses, jockeys and trainers,” new General Manager Tom Ludt said in a press release. “As it has for seven decades, Turf Paradise also offers affordable family fun.”
General admission tickets are $5 and include admission to the Grandstand and Clubhouse.
Grandstand seating is available on a first come, first served basis and consists of three levels inside and two levels outside.
The Clubhouse is the casual dining room located on the second level of the property offering TV monitors at each table and a view of the track.
Seating in the Clubhouse costs $5 per person, and reservations for the Clubhouse are recommended and can be made by calling 602-375-6470.
Parking is free.
Turf Paradise also maintains nearly 40 Off Track Betting operations across Arizona that televise its races plus simulcasts from tracks around the country for the purpose of wagering.
Turf Paradise first opened on Jan. 7, 1956, and bills itself as “Arizona’s first sports franchise.”
