A shooting at an East Los Angeles park left one man dead and another critically injured Thursday night, authorities said.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s East L.A. Station responded to City Terrace Park, located at 1126 N. Hazard Ave., around 8:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.

Deputies later learned that a second man who was also shot had been transported to a local hospital. He was listed in critical but stable condition as of early Friday morning, according to LASD.
Video from the scene showed a heavy law enforcement presence outside the park, which is visible from nearby homes and streets.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information about a possible suspect or motive.
