Producer Amanda Burrell and her Ginger production company are under a two-year overall deal at HBO. Under the pact, which was not publicized when it started in January, she has multiple projects in development at the premium network.

Burrell founded Ginger after leaving Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey’s production company Team Downey, where she led the television division and most recently served as president.

During her tenure, Burrell built a relationship with HBO as an executive producer of the Team Downey series Perry Mason and Park Chan-wook’s The Sympathizer (with A24). She also executive produced three seasons of Team Downey’s Children’s and Family Emmy-winning Netflix series Sweet Tooth. There is no immediate replacement for her.

Burrell remains attached to several Team Downey projects including the adaptation of Brian Watkins’ Weather Girl in development at Netflix, two other series in the works at the streamer, as well as several features including The Hider at Universal.

She began her career in the New York independent film world with stints at Miramax and GreeneStreet Films. Burrell is repped by attorney Patti Felker.
