A 16-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly ramming patrol cars and leading deputies on a destructive pursuit in San Bernardino County.
The suspect was only identified as a 16-year-old from Ontario due to his juvenile status.
On Oct. 20, Victorville deputies responded to reports of a stolen vehicle near Mojave Drive and Condor Road in Victorville around 8:42 a.m.
Authorities eventually spotted the car near the 15700 block of Mojave Drive. While approaching the teen suspect, deputies said he intentionally rammed his vehicle into nearby patrol cars.
He sped away from the scene, leading deputies on a pursuit. During the chase, the teen crashed into an uninvolved vehicle, leaving two victims injured.
He ditched the stolen car and attempted to flee on foot. After a short pursuit, deputies eventually captured the teenager and took him into custody.
He was arrested for attempted murder, evading by driving opposite traffic, possession of stolen property and a felony hit-and-run with injury.
The suspect and two innocent victims, a driver and a passenger, were all taken to a local hospital for treatment.
