SPOILERS: This post contains details about the Gen V, Season 2 final episode ‘Trojan’

The end is nigh for The Boys, but their collegiate counterparts on Gen V are just stretching their legs as the Season 2 finale gets them off campus and prepares them to take on Homelander.

In Wednesday’s episode ‘Trojan’, the newly regenerated Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater) continues his mission to “cull the herd” with his diabolical partner Sister Sage (Susan Heyward), going rogue from her plan to host a seminar where he can weed out the students as he sees fit.

Meanwhile, after releasing non-super-powered human Doug (Hamish Linklater) from Godolkin’s mind control, Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her crew hide him in the dorms. There, he notes that Marie’s Project Odessa origins means she will not age, namedropping her fellow test subjects Homelander and Stormfront as examples—with plenty of time to hype up the Vought Rising prequel.

As Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) drives Doug to a hospital, the mentally drained puppet notes that the Supe’s son Andre was strong, despite Godolkin torturing him during his time at The Woods facility.

The tender moment abruptly ends when Sage and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) intercept, killing Doug and taking Polarity as their prisoner. But when Sage realizes Godolkin has gone rogue with his seminar, she sets Polarity free.

As Godolkin leads his seminar, which he actually intends to be a fight to the death between all the Supes on campus, Marie and her crew devise a plan that involves a frat boy Black Hole (Wyatt Dorion) smuggling them into the seminar through his super anus.

Following a showdown with Godolkin that features some weaponized pubic hair from one Supe, and another Supe turning the tables on his own mind control powers, all seems lost when Marie attempts to use her blood-wielding powers on him, only for him to take control of her mind and body.

But as Polarity storms through the door, sending shockwaves through the room, Marie is freed from Godolkin’s grasp. It all appeared to be part of her plan as she thanked him for helping her “level up” after using her powers to go full Scanners (1981) on him.

“That was for Andre,” says Marie over the headless body.

Following Andre actor Chance Perdomo‘s death at age 27 in March 2024, co-showrunner Michele Fazekas told Deadline the loss was “incredibly unimaginable in a way, but we all were like, ‘Oh, we also lost this Andre guy we really liked.’ So, at the end, I was like, ‘Oh, this was about Andre,’ and it was about Chance, the season was. I’m very proud of that.”

Polarity covers for the group as they go on the run once again, only to be intercepted by Starlight (Erin Moriarty) and A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), who invite them to join the resistance. Surely, we’ll see more of the group in the fifth and final season of The Boys, which wrapped in July and premieres in 2026.

While Gen V has not yet been renewed for Season 3, Fazekas said the future of the spinoff is “an excellent question that I don’t know that anybody can answer right now.”

Prime also has the animated spinoff The Boys Presents: Diabolical, which is not likely to get a second season. Meanwhile, Paul Grellong serves as showrunner on the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising, and Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are executive producing The Boys: Mexico, from Blue Beetle writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
