A Florida man allegedly threatened to eat his neighbor’s dog and stab the woman for calling the cops on him during a hostile property dispute, according to authorities.
Minor Catledge allegedly confronted his neighbor as she walked her dog along a public path near his property on Friday, according to a statement from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Catledge bizarrely proclaimed he would “eat her dog” if she trespassed on the property he believed was his, police said.
The woman called police, and officers spoke with Catledge about the property and appeared to have resolved the dispute, cops said.
But, a little over an hour later, the madman approached his neighbor’s home with a knife and began to threaten her and her family, according to the sheriff’s office.
An Interlachen police officer responded and heard Catledge launch threats at the woman, who said the unhinged man had warned he’d stab her for calling the cops on him, according to authorities.
After he was cuffed, Catledge made several statements to a deputy that he was going to “beat” the victim when he got out of jail, police said.
The not-so-nice neighbor was photographed frowny-faced with disheveled hair as he was booked on an aggravated assault charge, according to his mug shot.
He is currently being held in Putnam County Jail on $5,000 bond.
