Andrew Cuomo torched mayoral rival Zohran Mamdani as a rich kid trying to “play politics” — and attempted to woo the audience on influencer boxer Logan Paul’s podcast by dropping a Mike Tyson reference.

The 34-year-old Queens state assemblyman leading City Hall would be “like stepping into the ring with Mike Tyson when he was in his prime, and you’ve never boxed before — but you’ll figure it out along the way,” the ex-governor said on the “Impaulsive Podcast” episode released Tuesday.

“This is New York City. You have to know what you’re doing. There’s a level of qualification,” Cuomo, 67, told the YouTuber, who is also a professional wrestler and part-time boxer.

“Just think about it — and it’s life or death. If you don’t make the right call, people die,” he said.

Cuomo, who is running as an independent, ripped the Democratic nominee — who would be the second-youngest mayor in the history of New York City if elected — as someone who’s “never managed more than five people. Never had a real job.”

“He comes from wealth. His mother is a very successful film director. Grew up in Uganda, in a palace basically in Uganda, moved in Manhattan. Grew up in a West Side penthouse. Went to private school, $60,000 a year, and Bowden College,” he said on the podcast, which was recorded last week.

“He’s the child of wealth. Never had to work. Never did work. Never had a real job and plays politics and ran for the state assembly and won,” Cuomo said, before knocking Mamdani as having only passed “three bills” and the “worst attendance record in the New York State Assembly.”

The thrice-elected Dem governor — who resigned in 2021 in the face of sexual misconduct allegations he denies — also ripped the lefty front-runner for his brief aspiring rap career, while pointing out his slick campaign videos have helped him get ahead in the polls.

“He was a rapper-slash-artist, and he had a very good social media presence, captured the imagination. He was great on TikTok. He connected with the younger generation,” said Cuomo, who was trounced by Mamdani in the June Democratic primary.

“He has appealed with very simplistic solutions that will never work,” he added of Mamdani’s policy proposals.

“That shtick works in politics. Especially nowadays. A lot of people don’t get into the substance,” Cuomo said.

But even as he ripped Mamdani as a “a child of wealth” with a privileged upbringing, Cuomo — son of former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo — also touted his own family’s powerful legacy that helped fuel his political ascent.

“I am a Democrat. My father was a Democrat. I worked for Bill Clinton. I’m a lifelong Democrat,” he said when reflecting on his record.

The podcast also veered into the high-profile family’s lore, with Paul remarking that the Cuomos’ lives have been “crazy.”

The longtime pol agreed, boasting about his brother Chis Cuomo’s former TV show, “Cuomo Prime Time,” which aired on CNN from 2017 to 2021.

“Yeah, we’ve had a crazy life. Ups and downs, tremendous highs, tremendous lows,” he said.

“He had the highest rated show on CNN — or really, I had the highest rated show on CNN if you want to get technical, because his highest rating was when I was a guest on his show.”

The Post reached out to Mamdani’s campaign for comment.
