An interactive pop-up exhibition in Studio City on Wednesday will celebrate disabled artisans in the entertainment industry.

At Radford Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave., Viz-Ability will highlight the “irreplaceable talent” of disabled artisans in a bid to help them and others get work.

“The event welcomes audiences from all backgrounds, but specifically encourages those in leading positions to celebrate artists based on their capabilities and accomplishments and offer a career trajectory focused on talent and merit, and not by outdated preconceptions,” the La Luz de Jesus gallery, which is part of the Viz-Ability team, said on its website.

The multimedia exhibit is intended to “spark potential partnerships and jobs.”

“Guests will step into a fully immersive experience where screens display reels, clips, and behind-the-scenes footage from disabled storytellers across film, television, and animation,” Viz-Ability said in a news release. “Each exhibit pairs a creator’s work with their professional résumé, giving executives and collaborators an in-depth look at their craft, credits, and artistry. Additional installations include interactive storytelling walls, award-winning short film loops, and intimate artist spotlights, transforming the traditional gallery format into a living showcase of disabled excellence.”

Hosting the event at Radford Studios is also a significant choice, organizers said.

“By premiering at Radford Studio Center, the legendary studio complex and home to nearly a century of Hollywood history from ‘Gilligan’s Island’ to ‘Seinfeld,’ Viz-Ability both honors the past and sets the foundation for a future of entertainment with accessibility and equity at its core,” the release explained.

Exhibit viewing for industry professionals begins at 4 p.m., community viewing beginning at 5:30 p.m. ahead of welcome remarks at 6 p.m.
