PHOENIX — If you were worried Arizona would be left out of Rush’s ballyhooed reunion tour plans, worry no more.

The iconic prog rock trio created a stir earlier this month when surviving members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced they were reforming for a limited 2026 tour with multiple shows in seven cities.

In response to the high demand for tickets, the band unveiled another slate of “Fifty Something” tour dates on Monday. Among them is a Dec. 1, 2026, show at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.

The first batch of reunion concerts sold out quickly. For the new dates, fans have until Thursday at 9 p.m. Arizona time to sign up for the artist presale, which begins next Monday (Oct. 27).

If any tickets remain after the presales, they will go on sale to the general public on Oct. 31 through Ticketmaster.

When is the last time Rush went on tour?

Rush hasn’t toured in over 10 years, and it’s been nearly six years since Neil Peart, the band’s legendary drummer, died from brain cancer at age 67.

Lee and Lifeson tabbed Anika Nilles, a German composer and producer who previously toured with Jeff Beck, to handle drumming duties for the 2026 shows.

“We are blown away by the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back on tour,” Lee said in a video Monday.

Rush developed a devoted fan base with its complex musical compositions and thought-provoking lyrics. The band’s classic rock favorites include “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight” and “Fly By Night.”

The power trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

The group’s last tour with Peart included a July 27, 2015, stop at the downtown Phoenix home of the Suns, according to setlist.fm.
