Funnyman Colin Jost’s joke about Trump officials fleeing to Argentina like Nazis after the Second World War fell flat on “Saturday Night Live” this week — receiving a tepid clap from a single audience member.

“If history is any guide, a lot of Trump officials will end up fleeing to Argentina,” Jost said, waiting as the audience awkwardly chuckled, with one resounding clap filling the room.

“Hey, one clap!” Jost said as the joke fell flat.

Trump’s $20 billion bail out for Argentina’s economy was announced on Tuesday, and Jost joked the deal was struck as a quid pro quo during the “Weekend Update” segment.

The suggestion, of course, is that Trump admin officials will be forced to flee to Argentina to avoid prosecution — similar to how Nazis infamously made their way to the country after the Second World War.

Jost tried to recover quickly, moving on to a jibe that slammed George Santos, who only spent three months in prison after Trump commuted his seven-year sentence on Friday.

“In the clinching game of the NLCS, Dodger star Shohei Ohtani pitched six scoreless innings, struck out 10 batters, then hit three home runs. It is a feat previously only accomplished by George Santos,” Jost said — referencing Santos’ history of fibbing about his accomplishments.
