‘On Falling’, ‘My Father’s Shadow’ & ‘Pillion’ Among Titles On BIFA New Talent Longlists

The British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) has set its 2025 New Talent longlists, featuring 33 British documentary and fiction features from debut filmmakers. 

This year, the four debut categories that make up the filmmaker new talent longlists include 12 first-time fiction feature directors, 13 first-time feature documentary directors, 16 first-time writers, and 16 breakthrough producers.

The five nominees in each of the new talent categories will be announced on 3 November. Winners will be revealed at the 28th BIFA awards ceremony on 30 November at the Roundhouse in Camden.
