Huntsville Halloween Fun: Events you don’t want to miss this season

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Looking for Halloween events for the whole family to enjoy?

There will be several upcoming events you can attend for the Halloween season right here in Huntsville.

Huntsville Parks & Recreation has planned a spooktacular October schedule that you can check out below:

  • Boo Bash: Thursday, Oct. 23, 5-8 p.m., Brahan Spring Recreation Center
  • Monster Mash: Saturday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. to noon, Mark Russell Recreation Center
  • A Frightful Night of Fun & Games: Wednesday, Oct. 29, 5-8 p.m., Optimist Recreation Center
  • Gloween at the Max: Thursday, Oct. 30, 5-8 p.m., Max Luther Community Center
  • Haunted Hallways & Fall Festival: Thursday, Oct. 30, 5-8 p.m., Cavalry Hill Community Center
  • Bootacular Family Fall Fest: Friday, Oct. 31, 3:30-7:30 p.m., Fern Bell Recreation Center
  • Spooktacular Fall Festival: Friday, Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m., Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Recreation Center
  • Hallowfest: Friday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m., Lakewood Community Center

“The Parks & Recreation department is proud to host these events year to year,” said Director James Gossett. “The goal is to provide safe, accessible and fun ways for kids and their families to enjoy Halloween.”

Additionally, the fourth annual Halloween Party & Haunted House will be Saturday, Oct. 18, from 3-8 p.m. at the Jaycee Building in John Hunt Park.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and expect free candy at the variety of family-friendly activities.
