Kim Kardashian claims ex-husband Kanye West hasn’t called their kids in “a couple months.”
The reality TV star made the revelation while appearing as a guest on Wednesday’s episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. At one point, host Alex Cooper asked Kardashian about the last time West saw their children: daughters North, 12, and Chicago, 7, as well as sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 6.
“Hmm. Whenever he’ll call them and ask,” Kardashian, 44, replied. “It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him?”
Cooper wondered how the reality star-turned-billionaire beauty mogul explains those moments and handles the disappointment to her children.
According to Kardashian, she and her kids “manage it really well,” especially since the brood “always knew that [West] had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and that he lives in different countries all the time.”
She explained that her “job” as their mom is to make sure they’re “healthy and happy” and that they “stick to their routine.”
Kardashian, who noted that she “raise[s] the kids full time,” reiterated a few times that her co-parenting situation with the controversial rapper-turned-fashion designer is “not easy.”
She also confessed that she’s envious of her sister Khloé Kardashian’s “really healthy” co-parenting dynamic with NBA star Tristan Thompson, who “puts their kids to bed every night and takes them to school every day when he’s not in season.”
Despite the difficulties of navigating her and her children’s relationship with West — who has become increasingly erratic in recent years — Kardashian insisted that she has “never once” kept them apart.
“Every time he has asked, I will always let them see their father. That’s just who I am,” she told Cooper, adding that she even flies them to Saudi Arabia, Italy and Japan “every time he asks.”
However, she noted, “If there’s a time where it’s just really super unhealthy, I will say, ‘Hey, let’s do it here at my house,’ or ‘Let’s figure out a different time.’ But when he is like that, he doesn’t really wanna see the kids a lot. So if he’s having a hard time, he doesn’t, and so it’s always worked out.”
As for why she never publicly refutes the “narrative” that she denies her ex his parenting time, Kardashian explained she’s “just not that girl online that’s gonna fight back.”
She’s admittedly come close, though, as her situation “really sucks.”
But no matter what West, 48, says about her publicly, his ex-wife maintained that she’ll “never say anything negative” about him because it’s already “out there.”
She stressed, “The last thing my kids need is to hear it from me.”
Reps for West did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
