FALKVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Harvest man is now facing drug charges after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

A Falkville Police Officer and a Morgan County Deputy pulled a vehicle over along on I-65 SB near mile marker 322 for a tag violation.

FPD said that a male driver and a female passenger were inside the vehicle during the time of the stop. After making contact with the individuals inside, authorities noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

While searching the vehicle, the officer and the deputy located multiple types of narcotics, including marijuana, methamphetamine, and cocaine inside the vehicle.

Authorities identified the driver as Darren Patrick Bailey Jr., 39, of Harvest.

FPD told News 19 that Bailey voluntarily admitted that the drugs were his before he was arrested.

He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous Drugs- Possession of Cocaine
  • Unlawful Distribution
  • Possession with Intent to Distibute a Controlled Substance
  • Dangerous Drugs-Possession Of Dangerous Drugs

It was later determined that Bailey was out on bond from Madison County for trafficking narcotics at the time of his arrest.
