PHOENIX — A Canadian medical company, NeuroCatch, Inc., opened its U.S. headquarters in Phoenix on Oct. 1 as a participant of the Arizona State University and Mayo Clinic MedTech Accelerator program, a Thursday press release announced.

NeuroCatch is operating in an 1,000-square-foot office space, with plans to expand its work in brain health manufacturing, sales, distribution and clinical trials through much of 2026.

The new space, which is located within the Phoenix Bioscience Core at McKinley and 5th streets, will help springboard the company’s presence in the United States and the company said it will hire “approximately 10 new employees over the first three years.”

“With NeuroCatch, we look forward to contributing our own breakthrough in brain health, helping the Valley’s impact outward to communities across the nation and around the world,” NeuroCatch CEO Derek Norsworthy said in the release.

The company based in British Columbia, Canada, is known for its product the NeuroCatch Platform, which “provides objective, rapid and non-invasive cognitive assessments using electroencephalography-based (EEG) brain vital signs,” according to the release.

Life365 (remote patient monitoring tech) and Aavia (a daily women’s health app) are among the many other companies that have benefitted from the roughly $750,000,000 ASU and Mayo Clinic have raised through their MedTech Accelerator program.

Besides the building becoming the company’s “first major U.S. presence,” it will add to the Phoenix Bioscience Core that has experienced significant growth — a 50% increase in workforce from 2018-2023 — on its 30 acres.

“(Neurocatch’s) expansion to the Phoenix Bioscience Core strengthens our growing ecosystem of researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs who are redefining what’s possible in neurotechnology,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said. “Phoenix is proud to be a place where innovation thrives and the future of health care is being built every day.”
