Detectives are searching for additional victims linked to a woman accused of posing as a romantic companion to elderly men before burglarizing their homes in Malibu and other areas across Los Angeles County.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department identified the suspect as Adva Lavie, who also goes by Mia Ventura Shoshana or Shana. Investigators said Lavie used social media dating platforms and apps to contact her victims, gaining their trust before stealing from their residences.
Lavie, described as a woman about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 104 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, is known to drive a black Porsche SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, authorities said.
Detectives from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station said Lavie has been involved in a series of residential burglaries targeting older men. Investigators are urging anyone who may have had similar interactions with her to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Lopez at the Lost Hills Station at 818-878-1808 or LAPD Detective Marsh at 818-374-9500.
