Uncork your bottles, as Apple TV+‘s wine drama Drops of God is coming back early next year.

The International Emmy-winning French-Japanese drama series will return on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 with a first episode of an eight-ep Season 2. One episode weekly will then drop weekly until March 11. The series is set in the world of fine wines, with Season 1 exploring the battle between the daughter of a late wine expert who is forced to compete with his brilliant young oenologist protégé to claim control of his world-renowned collection.

Apple TV+ has also released a first-look image for the upcoming season, which will star Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita. The new run will see Camille (Geffrier) and Issei (Yamashita) set their most perilous challenge, to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it.

Per the synopsis: “What begins as a pursuit of legacy, becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. As the search pushes them to the edges of the world, and to the darkest corners of themselves — Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. The answer could shatter their bond as siblings… or destroy them both.”

The Quoc Dang Tran-written series from Legendary Entertainment is producing by, Les Productions Dynamic (aka Dynamic Television) in association with 22H22 and Adline Entertainment. France Télévisions and Hulu Japan are the networks on the co-pro. Apple is a buyer on the show, but has worldwide rights outside of France and Japan.

Inspired by a bestselling Japanese manga from Tadashi Agi and Kodansha Ltd., it is produced by Klaus Zimmerman and directed by Oded Ruskin.
