A Georgia woman who allegedly ran an unlicensed daycare was arrested after her pair of Rottweilers fatally mauled a 2-year-old boy in her care while she took an hours-long nap Saturday, according to cops.

Little Kaimir Jones was found dead in 48-year-old Stacy Wheeler Cobb’s backyard around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release from the Valdosta Police Department.

Investigators determined that the toddler slipped out of the house while Cobb was napping for a few hours and accidentally unlocked the kennel housing the hulking Rottweilers.

Police said that Kaimir’s mother left him in Cobb’s care and that he was the only child on site that day.

Officials added that Cobb’s allegedly unlicensed daycare would often hold up to 10 children at once.

Cobb told authorities that she “thought the child was well” while she napped for a little over two hours, according to the press release.

“This is a horrible and tragic event that should have never occurred, but because of negligence on this offender’s behalf, a mother has tragically lost a child. I want to express our department’s deepest sympathy to the family,” VPD Chief Leslie Manahan said.

“No words will ever ease their pain, but our hearts go out to them during this unimaginably difficult time. I also keep our first responders in my prayers, as they continue processing their response to this tragic scene.”

Cobb was charged with second-degree murder and cruelty to children.

The Rottweilers involved in the gruesome incident, along with a third dog found at Cobb’s home, were turned over to the Lowndes County Animal Control, according to the press release.

Kaimir’s mother, Adrianna Jones, wrote that her “intuition” pushed her to leave work early and check on her son after hours of radio silence from Cobb, according to a blurb on GoFundMe.

“This was a heartbreaking, devastating and traumatizing scene that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I found my baby like this,” she wrote.

Jones added that Cobb was “highly recommended.”
