EXCLUSIVE: All Star Entertainment, the management agency behind UK reality stars including Geordie Shore‘s Chloe Ferry and Love Island‘s Adam Collard, is facing the threat of closure over an unpaid tax bill.
HM Revenue & Customs is pursuing a “winding-up petition” against All Star Entertainment (London) Limited, which in the UK is often the last resort taken by a creditor when attempting to recover debt.
HMRC is essentially seeking a court order to put the agency, founded by Ben Drake, into liquidation. The petition alone could trigger the freezing of All Star Entertainment’s bank accounts.
In a statement shared with Deadline, Drake blamed the issue on All Star Entertainment’s previous external accountants and said the company would continue to represent clients while resolving the matter.
Drake said: “In early 2025, I discovered that All Star’s accountants had failed to carry out their responsibilities properly, and advise on tax obligations. I immediately sacked those accountants and instructed new advisers to find resolutions.
“With the support of various professional advisers, we will continue to represent our amazing talent and, ultimately, ensure business continuity while the issues with HMRC are resolved, and sums due can be properly paid. This has been a particularly stressful time, and any of the stars we represent wishing to discuss what is happening, should get in touch with their usual contact.”
All Star Entertainment’s most recently published accounts, capturing the year to November 30, 2023, showed that the company had debts worth £43,672 ($58,745) that needed to be repaid within a year.
All Star Entertainment was set up by Drake in 2016. Other clients on its books include Love Island contestants Laura Anderson and Liberty Pool, TikTok dance stars The Gardiner Brothers, and Kieron Conway, a Commonwealth champion boxer signed to Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
HMRC does not comment on individual cases, but a spokesperson said: “We take a supportive approach to dealing with customers who have tax debts and only file winding-up petitions once we’ve exhausted all other options, in order to protect taxpayers’ money.”
