As everyone knows “All Too Well,” Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, titled “The Life of a Showgirl,” is set to release Friday night. And according to a new survey by HR company BambooHR, workplaces might see a Swift Shift during this album drop.
The company surveyed 1,500 adults who are full-time salaried employees, equally split between genders.
So, what did they find?
Six percent of salaried workers plan to take paid time off (PTO) on October 3 for Taylor Swift’s album release. It seems their bosses will have to “Shake it Off” for any “Blank Space” left in the office, and employees will hope there isn’t any “Bad Blood” when they return.
BambooHR’s survey also noted the bigger effect of major pop culture moments in the workplace.
Twenty-two percent of employees learned about Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce while at work, and one in 10 fans say their workplace has a dedicated Taylor Swift Slack or Teams channel.
“Enable leaders to consistently consider requests and make decisions around business needs,” says Kelsey Tarp, Director, HR Business Partners at BambooHR, and a fan of the pop star. “Then, communicate what to expect to your team members, and reinforce their role to provide advance notice, and plan responsibly and reduce last-minute disruptions.”
