Not a trick. Not a treat. It’s officially spooky season, and file this under “Bizarre but True.”
The Pasadena Humane Society is looking for the owner of a very healthy python that was found at the In-N-Out Burger drive-thru in Monrovia on Tuesday.
Officials said an employee made the “surprising discovery” and took matters literally into their own hands, bringing the snake to the humane society shelter.
“They seem to have been well taken care of, so it’s possible they only recently escaped their home,” the humane society said in a Facebook post. “Please spread the word so we can locate their guardian!”
Right now, the snake is not available for adoption. They don’t know if its male or female.
Comments on social media have ranged from heartfelt – to hilarious.
“When I ordered Animal Style fries, this is not what I meant,” one user joked, referring to In-N-Out’s not-so-secret menu item.
“Double-Double with a Shake, not Snake,” wrote another.
Another stated, “This is one of the most SoCal posts I’ve ever seen…”
If you know the owner of the snake, or if you’re the owner, visit the Pasadena Humane Society shelter at 361 S. Raymond Ave. between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. or call 626-792-7151, ext. 997.
