Spring City, Utah | $1.695 million
A 2016 farmhouse with a barn, a shed, and a log cabin, on 0.9 acres
This four-bedroom, three-bathroom house was built to resemble some of the older structures in Spring City, which has a population of around 1,000. The house is half a block from Main Street, and within walking distance are an elementary school, a handful of restaurants and an art gallery. The property includes rows of lavender and a pumpkin patch, and the barn could be used for weddings or other events.
Manti-La Sal National Forest, which draws hikers, campers and cross-country skiers, is a 25-minute drive. Provo takes just over an hour and Salt Lake City takes less than two hours.
Size: 3,288 square feet
Price per square foot: $516
Indoors: A low rock wall and a picket fence divide this property from the street. The red front door to the main house opens directly to the living room. A wood-burning stove sits in front of a decorative fireplace and a staircase rises to the second floor. Wood trim along the ceilings and baseboards is painted yellow, and on the other side of this space is a combined kitchen and dining room with access to a covered porch.
The kitchen includes a stainless steel Viking range, and in the center of the room is an island with space for three bar stools. An interior window looks from the kitchen into the laundry room.
A primary en suite bedroom is off the living room. Here, wood trim is painted red and windows face the yard. The space fits a king-size bed and its bathroom has a walk-in shower lined with subway tile.
Three more bedrooms are upstairs, along with two full bathrooms. The bedroom at the back of the hall is the largest. It has high ceilings trimmed with wood beams painted yellow.
