“I think fashion’s gotten very minimalist,” Chelsea Jones, a 29-year-old photographer, said. “I try to bring out cool colors whenever I can.”
She was out in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on a Tuesday in September, and had come to New York from London to attend the band Oasis’s reunion tour. “They split when I was a lot younger,” she said, adding that it would be her first time seeing them live.
Her pink soccer shoes were in step with the dress codes of Oasis fans — and the way she styled them with square emerald glasses, a cropped burgundy cardigan, a grayish shirt and pale yellow shorts was reflective of how she approaches getting dressed. “I like putting together weird colors that you wouldn’t normally see,” she said.
