Big Brother UK had a live launch on ITV2, and the housemates were greeted with a twist that they didn’t see coming on the first night.

AJ Odudu and Will Best teased throughout the night that one of the housemates would not survive the night and would be evicted.

That’s right, the housemates were getting comfortable in their new home, but they would not be spending the night, as a flash vote put three housemates at risk of leaving on the first night.

After Odudu and Best introduced the 12 housemates, the public was allowed to vote via the Big Brother app. Viewers were tasked to vote for the housemate they wanted to give an “evil eye” to, which would put them at risk.

Following the vote, Big Brother named the five housemates with the most votes, who were at risk of eviction, which included Emily, Nancy, Sam, Caroline, and Cameron.

The safe housemates were Nancy and Cameron, while Emily, Sam, and Caroline were cursed with an evil eye.

The three cursed housemates were sent to the Exit Room, where their fate would be decided. To find out which housemate would be evicted on Night 1, viewers would have to tune in to Monday’s episode on ITV2.

Big Brother UK is set to air nightly on ITV2 and streams on ITVX, followed by the companion talk show Big Brother: Late & Live. The debate show makes a comeback, giving viewers exclusive content from the house and a debate with hot takes from a celebrity panel.

Guests set to appear on Big Brother: Late & Live include JoJo Siwa, Oti Mabuse, Chloe Burrows, Danny Beard, David Potts, Angellica Bell and Harriet Rose will each take turns in assuming the role of the House Guest – promising in-depth discussions and deliberations alongside a panel of fellow celebrity guests.

Big Brother: Live Stream is also set to return, airing seven nights a week exclusively on ITVX, allowing fans to watch live footage into the small hours after Big Brother: Late & Live.
