Welcome to Late Night Roundup, a rundown of the previous night’s highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now.

Making It About Them

Late night hosts continued to react to Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension, referencing their own tenuous positions on the air.

Stephen Colbert announced that “our long national late-nightmare is over,” with Kimmel returning to air on Tuesday.

“Once more, I am the only martyr in late night. Wait, unless, CBS, you want to announce anything? Huh? Huh? What? Huh? Still no? Right, ’cause the money thing.” — STEPHEN COLBERT

“Let me just tell you something: I am not intimidated by the F.C.C., and if President Trump is watching, I have one thing to say to you: Have you lost weight? You look terrific.” — BILL MAHER

“It was 24 years to the day that I made comments on ABC that got me canceled from that network and Jimmy Kimmel took my slot, did you know that? At ‘Politically Incorrect’? Oh, yes. I got canceled before cancel even had a culture.” — BILL MAHER

“But that’s not us, right? We’re good? What? We are — we’re on a network? But I don’t even wear a suit. This is a network? I thought we only aired on those gas station TVs” — SETH MEYERS

“But this Kimmel situation does feel like a turning point, and not because comedians are important, but because we are not. If the government can force a network to pull a late-night show off the air and do so in plain view, it can do a [expletive] of a lot worse.” — JOHN OLIVER

The Punchiest Punchlines (Pam Bondi Edition)

“Speaking of Trump, everyone’s talking about his post over the weekend where he called on his attorney general Pam Bondi to prosecute his political opponents. Now, I know that sounds highly illegal.” — JIMMY FALLON

“Sir, far be it for me to tell you how to run your post-judicial law-fare, but do we all have to be copied on this [expletive]? We know you and Bondi talk in private.” — JON STEWART

“First, he’s calling on the attorney general to prosecute his political foes whether there’s evidence of a crime or not. That’s a pretty big deal. Also, yeah. Also, he reviewed ‘statements and posts’? Does that mean he just read the internet?” — STEPHEN COLBERT

“Also, that post was definitely meant to be a text. Nothing screams ‘old man texting’ like starting with the recipient’s name.” — STEPHEN COLBERT

The Bits Worth Watching

Former Representative Adam Kinzinger and the comedian Negin Farsad discussed Trump’s plans for TikTok and other hot topics with the panel on Saturday’s episode of “Have I Got News For You.”
