Tim Robinson plays a man who witnessed a problem. A big problem. And he’s working to uncover “a vast criminal conspiracy” in HBO‘s upcoming comedy The Chair Company. HBO released the official trailer today, which you can view above.
Created by Robinson and his I Think You Should Leave writing partner Zach Kanin, in The Chair Company, after an embarrassing incident at work, William Ronald Trosper (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.
Series regulars also include Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips recurs as Jeff Levjman.
The Chair Company premieres Sunday, Oct. 12 at 10 pm on HBO and will stream on HBO Max.
The Chair Company marks the latest collaboration for Robinson and Kanin who met while working together as writers on Saturday Night Live. They previously co-created two series, in which Robinson also starred, Detroiters for Comedy Central and award-winning sketch comedy I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson for Netflix. I Think You Should Leave released its third season in May 2023. No word yet on a possible fourth season.
