(WHNT) — Week 3 of high school football brought us a ton of great plays, but some stood out.
Here are the top plays from Week 3 of high school football:
No. 5
Scottsboro is hosting Douglas in this one. Douglas quarterback steps back to pass and hurls one towards his intended receiver, but Connor Vaden steps in front of it and he’s got six on his mind. Vaden scores and Scottsboro rolls to a big win.
No. 4
Sheffield is taking on Mars Hill in this play. The Bulldogs quarterback steps back to pass and throws toward Jaxon Penn, who takes it away, and the young man is committed to Troy for a reason; he returns it for a touchdown. Panthers continue their dominance, winning big over Sheffield.
No. 3
Thursday night lights for this play. Hartselle hosting Columbia and the Eagles quarterback throws up a 50-50 ball down the sideline, but those pesky Bert Newton defenses love their turnovers. Shad Priola comes in, takes it away, gets a foot down and Hartselle wins big over Columbia.
No. 2
Danville is traveling to West Limestone for our only offensive play this week. Hawks look to do a jet sweep, but it’s the quarterback, Landon Grandstaff, who gets the handoff and he’s going to pass. Grandstaff finds Wyatt Summerford, who scores, but West Limestone gets the win.
No. 1
In our game of the week, Priceville is leading late in the game and looking to punt, but the punt is muffed. Kylen Stover picks it up with no one around and he gets in for the touchdown. West Morgan goes for two and converts, winning this one 8-7.
