Our annual Climate Forward conference is just around the corner.

Next Wednesday, Sept. 24, we’ll host a full day of live journalism, including interviews with Energy Secretary Chris Wright on the Trump administration’s approach to climate change and energy, and many more guests. Tickets are sold out, but you can see the whole lineup here and register for the livestream here.

Earlier this month, we asked you to send us questions you’d like us to ask world leaders, policymakers, activists and corporate leaders at the event. We got a ton of great suggestions, and we’re highlighting several of them below. (These have been edited for length, clarity and Times style issues.)

The Trump factor

Not surprisingly, many readers encouraged us to explore the Trump administration’s sweeping efforts to downplay the threats posed by climate change.

How quickly and effectively can Trump’s anti-climate executive actions be reversed by a climate-action friendly successor, starting at 12:01 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2029? (And maybe the same question with regard to actions by the federal agencies) — Edwin Chen, Bethesda, Md.

What could the rest of the world’s leaders do to compel Trump to return to our commitments to the Paris accord? — Ruti Abrashkin

All year, we’ve been tracking the Trump administration as it rolls back pollution controls, stymies the clean energy business, promotes fossil fuels and withdraws from international collaboration to address our warming planet.
