‘The Pitt’, ‘The Studio’ & ‘Adolescence’ Surge In Streaming Viewership Following Emmy Wins

U.S. streaming viewership has spiked for HBO Max‘s medical drama The Pitt, Seth Rogen’s Apple comedy The Studio and Netflix‘s limited series Adolescence following their Emmy wins on Sunday.

The Pitt saw a 142% increase in U.S. viewership on Monday, Sept. 15 (60.2M minutes watched), a day after the awards ceremony, vs. the prior Monday, Sept. 8 (24.9M minutes watched), according to a new report from Luminate.

Apple TV+ comedy The Studio, saw a 254% increase on Monday, Sept. 15 with 9.2M minutes watched, vs Monday, Sept. 8 (2.6M minutes watched). And Adolescence saw a massive 416% increase in U.S. viewership comparing Monday, Sept 15 (19.1M minutes watched) vs Monday, Sept 8 (3.7M minutes watched), per Luminate.

The Pitt, starring and executive produced by Noah Wyle, won a total of five Emmys (Creative Arts and Primetime combined), including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor for Wyle on his seventh career nomination, and Supporting Actress for Katherine LaNassa.

The Studio scored 13 Emmys overall, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actor, Writing and Directing for Rogen, making history in the process. The show broke all-time records for most wins for a freshman comedy series and most wins for a comedy series, period. Individually, Rogen tied for most Emmys won by a single individual in one night.

Adolescence won eight overall, six on Sunday night, the most for any show, including three for writer, producer and star Stephen Graham. Newcomer Owen Cooper surprised few with his Supporting Actor in a Limited Series win and Erin Doherty also scored her first Emmy, for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.
