HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — After a pleasant weekend, The Weather Authority will be tracking the potential for isolated showers heading into the upcoming week.

Along with the low rain chance, temperatures will feel more like early August than mid-September.

A weak trough will set up to the west of the area along with an area of low pressure. This will support a southerly wind, allowing for a slight increase in the moisture content over the region.

While the majority of the area will see a mix of sun and clouds on Monday, there will be a low-end chance for showers. The best chance for any isolated showers to develop will be along and west of I-65.

Warmer-Than-Normal:

The bigger weather story this week will be the summer-like temperatures. Following the weak disturbance on Monday, an upper-level ridge will build into the region. High temperatures are forecast to warm into the low to mid-90s.

Normally, at this time of year, Huntsville’s high temperatures range from 87 to 86 degrees. While we aren’t expecting to break any records, temperatures will be nearly 5 to 10 degrees warmer than normal.

Stick with The Weather Authority for the latest on this week’s forecast.
