A Southern California woman was arrested on suspicion of the years-long sexual abuse of multiple children.
The suspect was identified as Alyssa Carranza, 31, of Oxnard, according to the Oxnard Police Department. Carranza is accused of targeting five victims who were aged 4 to 16 years old at the time.
The alleged crimes took place between 2012 and 2022, and are believed to have occurred within Oxnard, police said.
Carranza was originally arrested in 2023 for criminal sexual acts against minors spanning a 10-year period, investigators said. She pleaded not guilty to all six charges and was released on a $250,000 bond at the time, the Ventura County Star reported.
Since then, detectives have identified another victim in connection with the case.
On Sept. 10, Carranza was arrested and charged with an additional felony of conducting a lewd act upon a minor. She posted a $450,000 bond and was released with a court date scheduled for Sept. 24.
Investigators are working to locate any additional victims who have not come forward. No further details, including how the victim and suspects were known to each other, were released.
