President Trump made a bizarre comment about Fox News host Sean Hannity seconds after breaking the news that a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the killing of Charlie Kirk.
Speaking on Friday morning, the president announced news of the arrest on Fox & Friends. “We have him,” Trump declared.
“So, you have breaking news, don’t you? You always have breaking news, Ainsley,” he added to Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt. “Sean’s going to be very disappointed that we’re not doing it on his show.”

Earhardt responded by saying that Hannity “will be very appreciative of the police officers” who snared the suspect.
“I think so, they did a great job,” the president responded.
Earlier in the segment, he said he was given the update himself just five minutes before walking into the studio in New York.

“I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” Trump had said. He explained that the suspect, a male, was given up by his own family.
“Somebody who was very close to him turned him in,” he said. Speaking about the grainy images released by the FBI, he said a family member recognized the subject. “They said, ‘Hmm, that’s him.’”
He added that he hopes the shooter faces capital punishment. “I hope he gets the death penalty,” Trump said.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated…
