The Philadelphia Eagles were able to knock off the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, but they didn’t get a big game from star wide receiver A.J. Brown.
He finished the game with one catch for only eight yards. The Eagles as a team weren’t able to get anything going through the air. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 19-of-23 passes for 152 yards, but if you take out a 51-yard pass to Jahan Dotson, he averaged 4.5 yards per attempt.
While it was only Week 1, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd thinks that the Eagles may make a drastic move and trade Brown.
“Keep an eye on Philadelphia and A.J. Brown ,” Cowherd said on the Colin Cowherd Show. “In the last 20 games, no one has thrown the ball more than Philadelphia. The soul of the offense is Saquon Barkley, the o-line and Jalen Hurts. I would argue they use tight ends about as effectively as everybody else.”

The Eagles are saying the right things now, as Hurts and coach Nick Sirianni are saying that it was just one of those weird games. Not only did Brown have one catch in the game, he also had only one target.
Brown hasn’t ever been one to hide frustrations when he isn’t getting the ball, as he did that at times during their Super Bowl run last season.
Cowherd believes there are two teams that would make sense to go after Brown, including the team the Eagles play in Week 2 and defeated in the Super Bowl.
“Remember, New England No. 1,” Cowherd said. “New England was slow, sluggish and deliberate in Week 1 offensively. Mike Vrabel has worked with A.J. Brown. A.J Brown to New England is in play. I think A.J. Brown and Tyreek Hill to Kansas City are in play. If Dallas would give up Micah Parsons right before the season, don’t be shocked.”
To make a move like that this early in the season would be a monster move, but as Cowherd said, the Dallas Cowboys just traded their superstar.
Sirianni has come out and said they are going to get him the ball against the Chiefs, and that matchup could be just what Brown needs.
In Week 1, the Chiefs couldn’t stop Justin Herbert, as he threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Quentin Johnston had five catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and the Chargers had receivers open the entire night.
If Brown has another subpar game on Sunday, don’t be surprised if the trade rumors continue.
