Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s 90s Britpop act Oasis may have come back together for a reunion tour, but the two brothers still can’t seem to see eye-to-eye, as each chose their own adidas SPZL model to remix. The famously feuding brothers-turned-bandmates are doubling down on their growing adidas partnership, adding additional Japan-exclusive colorways to their SPZL two-pack, which will be released this month. Following the Japan-exclusive release, Oasis will make its way to Tokyo to play two shows on October 25 and 26.
Liam Gallagher’s Oasis x adidas Achille SPZL, first unveiled with a Khaki colorway in August, is now offered in a burgundy upper. The new Achille features black suede overlays at the heel, toebox, and eyelets, while beige stripes and heel tabs provide a bright contrast. As before, the teethed outsoles follow the shape of the zig-zag trimmed stripes, while this time a contrast outside adds visual interest to the bottoms.
Next, Noel Gallagher’s Oasis x adidas Marathon SPZL, first released in a navy/sky blue colorway, is shown in a mostly black upper with primary red accents provided by the stripes and heel tab. With a pared-back approach to the mostly suede material mix, the Marathon is a more modern counter to the Achille Silhouette. Omitting the textured soles, the smooth white midsoles reflect the feel of the refined uppers.
Set for release on September 24, exclusively in Japan, the two new Oasis x adidas SPZL colorways will be available at the adidas webstore and select locations in Japan.
