In a monumental collaboration that fuses sport with high fashion, Fear of God has announced a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). This new venture, which marks a significant moment for both brands, will bring the timeless spirit of the game to fan apparel, reimagined through the signature silhouettes and modern detailing of Fear of God Essentials.
The first release of the collection features apparel for iconic franchises, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and more. To celebrate the launch, the inaugural campaign, created with filmmaker Calmatic, captures the authentic stylistic nuances of a multi-generational pastime through the lens of Picture Day.
According to Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo, the partnership is a natural fit, “Baseball has always been the one constant in America. It reflects the times – where the country is, what the culture values, and how people come together,” explains Lorenzo. “It’s a mirror and a marker of American life, embodying both tradition and evolution.”
Filmmaker Calmatic added, “Picture Day was always a big moment at the ballpark… it was about family, community, and pride. People came with a very high-end representation of who they were… they’re still maintaining their social identity.”
The collection launched on FOG and Fanatics on September 10, with availability expanding to select retailers and stadium stores in the weeks to follow.
