The rest of the NBA is chasing the Oklahoma City Thunder after what they accomplished this past season. They were the best team in the NBA throughout the entire season and capped it off with a title.
The Denver Nuggets are looking to topple the Thunder, but they still need some help in order to do so. This trade proposal from Bleacher Report would give them the opportunity to do just that.
Here is the full proposal:
Denver Nuggets Receive: Justin Champagnie, Ayo Dosunmu
Chicago Bulls Receive: Zeke Nnaji, Peyton Watson, 2026 second-round pick (least favorable of Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Philadelphia, via Washington), 2028 first-round swap (top-10 protection, via Denver)
Washington Wizards Receive: 2032 second-round pick (via Denver)
The Denver Nuggets would be title contenders with this trade, as they’re adding two guards who can help with the ball-handling duties, as well as creating shots for others. Right now, Jamaal Murray and Nikola Jokic are over-taxed with those duties.

Trading Peyton Watson would hurt from a defensive standpoint, but he has been a borderline rotation player, anyway. They need guards who can put the ball in the hoop.
Sending a first-round pick is certainly not ideal, either. Yet, the Nuggets only have a limited title window with Jokic on the roster. They need to do the best they can to surround him with good talent.
Chicago has been stuck in purgatory for quite a while, living in the play-in zone for the last three years. This move would help them finally start a rebuild.
Washington would just be pleased to pick up another draft asset, even if it isn’t a very attractive one. They are still in the midst of a rebuild.
The Denver Nuggets are one of the few teams who can take down the Thunder
The Western Conference is going to be a bloodbath for the next few years, especially with how loaded the Thunder are.
Denver gave them one of the biggest scares of anyone in the playoffs last year, pushing them to seven games. Only the Indiana Pacers replicated that feat.
With Denver being so close to Oklahoma City’s level, this trade could push them over the top when it comes to beating the Western Conference favorites.
This past season with the Bulls, Dosunmu averaged 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Champagnie averaged 8.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and one assist per game with the Wizards.
