Israel’s orders to evacuate Gaza City cause chaos

The Israeli military on Tuesday ordered residents in  City to leave immediately as it intensified its deadly attack in the Strip.

“To all residents of Gaza City … the defense forces are determined to defeat Hamas and will act with great force in the Gaza City area,” the military’s Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said in a post on X.

“Despite the bombardment in the past week, I have resisted leaving, but now I will go to be with my daughter,” said Um Mohammad, a 55-year-old mother of six.

Most of Gaza’s 2 million residents have been displaced multiple times since . Some 64,000 people have been killed, 20,000 of them children, acccording to the Gaza Health Ministry. International organizations like the UN believe that the actual death toll may be much higher but cannot be confirmed due to lack of access to the area.
