Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has stirred up a lot of attention by painting his fingernails. Some fans love that he paints his nails, while others are bothered by it for some reason.

Regardless of where the fans stand, Williams likes to express himself in that way.

On Monday Night Football in the Bears’ season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, Williams sent a message with his fingernails. In fact, it was a heartwarming message that everyone can get behind.

As shared by The Sporting News on X, Williams painted his nails with the suicide prevention logo and also had the colors as well. He also painted 988 which stands for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

No one should have any kind of a problem with the message that Williams chose to spread on a national level.

Unfortunately, the game did not go as hoped for Williams and the Bears. Despite looking strong early in the game, Chicago fell apart in the fourth quarter.

After giving up 21 points in the fourth quarter, the Bears ended up losing to the Vikings by a final score of 27-24. It was just another disappointing loss for Chicago after coming into the game with high hopes and expectations.

Williams didn’t have a bad game. It wasn’t elite either.

He completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts for 211 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. In addition, he ran for 58 yards and a touchdown on six carries, averaging 9.7 yards per carry.

Despite suffering a very upsetting loss, the Bears looked better. They looked to be a team who could make a run at a playoff spot. Of course, the 0-1 start is not ideal.

It will be interesting to see how Chicago bounces back from blowing a win. There is no time to be upset about losing to Minnesota. All eyes should turn to Week 2.

Speaking of Week 2, the Bears will have another very difficult matchup. They will hit the road for a matchup against the Detroit Lions. Ben Johnson, the team’s first-year head coach, will be facing his old team.

Hopefully, Chicago is able to bounce back strong. Williams played decently well, but there are plenty of areas that need to improve for the Bears next week.
