Trump says he’s given Hamas ‘last warning’
US President said that he has issued the Palestinian militant group his “last warning” to accept a ceasefire deal that would see the release of hostages from Gaza.
“The Israelis have accepted my terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.
“I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!” Trump said.
Hamas said in a statement that it was prepared to “immediately sit at the negotiating table” following what it described as “some ideas from the American side aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement.”
Trump’s statement comes as Israel continues its , which Israeli Prime Minister says is a Hamas stronghold.
Israel’s leader says its occupation is necessary to defeat the Islamist militants who led the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israeli civilians.
More than 64,000 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, according to the territory’s Health Ministry, most of them civilians.

Palestinian prisoners not receiving enough food, Supreme Court rules
‘s Supreme Court has found that Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails are not receiving enough food and ordered that they be supplied with sufficient amounts of sustenance.
The court ordered an end to a food reduction policy that had been put in place by , which has seen prisoner rations cut.
That matter was brought to the court’s attention by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI).
The group said that a change in the food policy enacted after , has caused prisoners to suffer malnutrition and starvation.
The organization has previously highlighted the state of Palestinian prisoners with regards to food and basic healthcare.
ACRI called for the verdict to be implemented immediately and said in a post on X that the prison service has “turned Israeli prisons into
torture camps.”
“A state does not starve people,” the group said. “People do not starve people, no matter what they have done.”
Ben-Gvir slammed the ruling, accused the court of protecting “abominable murderers, kidnappers and rapists” in a post on X.
“We will continue to grant prisoners the minimum conditions required by law,” Ben-Gvir said.
Last week, leaked Israeli government data showed that only about one quarter of Palestinians in Israeli prisoners are believed to have connections to Hamas or other militant groups.
