Burglars were caught on film breaking into at least three businesses overnight in a Glendale strip mall, and police say they have not yet been found.
The smash-and-grabs happened right after 3 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department, in the 4100 block of San Fernando Road.
Police confirmed that the three businesses hit were Dinah’s Chicken, El Pavo Bakery and El Ruby. The cost of the damages and/or stolen items was not immediately provided, but authorities said there was “minimal loss.”
Security footage from inside Dinah’s Chicken shows two masked suspects shatter through the glass door, run inside and then split up — with one suspect running into a back room and the other rummaging through the cash register desk.
Authorities did not release suspect descriptions as of 9:30 a.m. However, in the footage, one suspect is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “NARCOS” written across the back, the other is wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, and both are in dark pants, black masks and hats.
Police were still on the scene collecting evidence hours later.
The break-ins remain under investigation, and anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact local authorities.
