Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen knows he’ll need his tight ends to be at their best this season in order to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.

One of those tight ends, Dalton Kincaid, is heading into his third year, and Allen believes he can take steps forward this season.

“Yeah, he’s moving fantastic right now,” Allen said on the “Fitz and Whit” podcast. “I trust him as a person, as a player. I think he’s as talented as anybody out there. Last year he was banged up. He played through a lot of different things, and I really appreciate what he did for us last year, but I’m not going to sit here and say he’s going to have this many yards for this many touchdowns. All I’m going to say is he’s an absolute stud. I love having him out there. I love throwing to him. He’s an easy guy to throw to and he puts his body on the line each and every game.”

Kincaid took a step back in the box score and fell victim to a sophomore slump, but Allen knows he will remain an integral part of the offense this season. The Bills will need to rely on him a lot as the pass-catching depth behind Keon Coleman is questionable at best. If Coleman’s snap count is limited Sunday night, Kincaid’s role could increase against the Baltimore Ravens.

Buffalo will need Kincaid to take a step forward this season in his third year. If he can post numbers similar to what he produced as a rookie with 73 catches for 673 yards, his value in the offense will skyrocket even more.
