Swatch and OMEGA have unveiled the Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold, the second MoonSwatch devoted to celebrating full moons. This latest edition honors September’s Harvest – or Corn – Moon, subtly incorporating its theme into one of the watch’s standout functions. Gold reimagines the lunar surface as rows of golden kernels, with a stylized popcorn box taking center stage.
Opposite, at 10 o’clock, an earth-phase indicator depicts our planet as seen from the Moon, its oceans glowing electric blue under UV light. Beneath this window, Snoopy and Woodstock gaze skyward across a miniature lunar landscape that conceals a secret phrase, revealed only by ultraviolet illumination.
Encased in navy bioceramic and spanning 42mm in diameter, this timepiece mirrors its predecessor’s design with a matching rubber strap secured by a VELCRO® closure and bioceramic loop. The white opaline dial, protected by box-shaped biosourced glass etched with the Swatch “S,” hosts recessed subdials, Super-LumiNova®–filled hands and markers and the OMEGA X Swatch, Speedmaster, as well as MoonSwatch logos. Water resistant to 3 bar and powered by a quartz chronograph movement, it will launch officially on September 8 at select Swatch boutiques worldwide, priced at $450 USD.
