Two-Time Super Bowl Champion Predicts Improved Patriots 2025 Record

The New England Patriots are due for improvement after consecutive four-win seasons. The beginning of a new era under head coach Mike Vrabel starts in Week 1 when New England hosts the Las Vegas Raiders at Gillette Stadium.

A new-look roster and a favorable schedule boosted the Patriots thus far among preseason predictions. Can New England put it all together for a significant turnaround that results in a playoff run?

Former NFL center and two-time Super Bowl champion David Andrews, who retired this offseason after he spent his entire nine-year career with the Patriots, shared his analysis on the season ahead for New England.

Andrews made his prediction Tuesday during his weekly appearance on “Zolak and Bertrand” on 98.5 The Sports Hub. The former offensive lineman dove into the potential for 10 wins and New England’s first postseason appearance since 2021.

“I think this is a team that could easily win 10 games,” Andrews said. “I think so. More games in the NFL are lost more than they’re won. I think with Vrabel coaching, with Josh (McDaniels) on the offensive side calling plays the way he manages things, they’re going to be trained to not lose football games. That goes a long way.”

Andrews played on New England’s last playoff team in 2021 that won 10 games before a first-round exit at the hands of the division rival Buffalo Bills. For now, add the former Patriot to the voices empowering a winning season in Foxboro.

“I think it is very possible,” Andrews added. “It wouldn’t surprise me if we’re sitting here and they’re in the playoffs (as a wild card).”
