A new WWE Women’s World Champion will be crowned at the WrestlePalooza premium live event on September 20th. On the September 1st episode of Monday Night Raw, it was officially announced that Stephanie Vaquer will face IYO SKY to determine the new champion.
The title was recently vacated by Naomi after she announced her pregnancy on the August 18th episode of Raw. The new championship match will feature two of the top stars in the Raw women’s division.

A Path To The Championship
Both Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY have clear claims to this championship opportunity. Vaquer won a 20-woman battle royal at the Evolution premium live event in July, which guaranteed her a future shot at the Women’s World Title. That match was originally scheduled for the Clash in Paris event, but it was postponed after Naomi vacated the championship.
IYO SKY was the number one contender for the title and was scheduled to face Naomi on the August 11th episode of Raw before Naomi was pulled from the show due to not being medically cleared. With both women having legitimate claims, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the decision to have them face off to crown the new, undisputed champion.
