  • New teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 teases Yuta Okkotsu’s hunt for Yuji Itadori
  • MAPPA returns to animate The Culling Game arc’s darker, dynamic narrative
  • Season 3 will premiere globally in January 2026, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll

A new teaser trailer has arrived for the highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen  Season 3 anime, officially titled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game.

First announced in December 2023 following the finale of Season 2, the upcoming installment will pick up directly where the story left off, plunging viewers back into the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident. The video spotlights Yuji Itadori’s struggle with lingering trauma while teasing the arrival of Yuta Okkotsu – the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film- on a mission to hunt him down. The trailer also hints at a ferocious first encounter between the two sorcerers, alongside tense stand‐offs featuring Naoya Zen’in and Choso.

Despite unsettling rumors during Season 2’s broadcast, studio MAPPA is confirmed to return to helm the production for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, along with many key staff and cast members reprising their roles. The Culling Game, one of the most controversial yet critically acclaimed segments of Gege Akutami’s original manga, promises to elevate the series into darker, more dynamic territory.

Part one of Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game is slated for a global release in January 2026, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll. Check out the official teaser trailer above.
