Nottingham Forest will play host to West Ham United on Sunday, hoping to make it three losses in as many Premier League outings for the east Londoners this term. The Hammers have struggled to find their mark so far this term and sit at the bottom of the table, having conceded eight goals and scored just once thus far.
As if the current record wasn’t discouraging enough for West Ham, it so happens the team has lost its last three meetings with Forest. Two of those defeats came at the City Ground, where the Hammers haven’t managed to score as many as a goal in their last four visits.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s future as Forest manager remains in doubt despite his success at the helm thus far due to alleged tensions with the club’s ownership. That’s despite the team remaining undefeated so far this term, beating Brentford 3-1 on the opening weekend before equalizing to draw 1-1 at Crystal Palace last time out.
West Ham took the lead against Chelsea last weekend before going on to lose 5-1, then exited the League Cup at Wolves following two goals in the final 10 minutes. Potter’s place in charge of his side is also in major doubt, with the former Chelsea chief in serious need of a win to turn his fortunes around.
