Washington is coming off a tough season, one that saw it go 6-7 and 4-5 in Big Ten play. The Huskies qualified for a bowl game after ending the regular season at 6-6, facing Louisville in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, but fell in a thriller, suffering a 35-34 setback to end the 2024 campaign.
In the matchup, Huskies quarterback Desmond Williams Jr. was brilliant, connecting on 26 of 32 passes for 374 yards with four touchdowns to just one interception. Wide receiver Giles Jackson had a huge game, too, catching 11 passes for 161 yards and four touchdowns. Considering that was Williams Jr.’s second career college game, Huskies fans have to be excited for how the signal-caller performs in 2025.
Colorado State, meanwhile, had a much better season in 2024, going 8-5 with a 6-1 record in the Mountain West Conference. The Rams ended their campaign on a low note, however, falling 43-17 to Miami (OH) in the Arizona Bowl.
