(WHTM) — Taylor Fresh Foods is recalling salad kits that were sold in 25 states, including California.

According to the company’s announcement, posted by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, its Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit may contain undeclared sesame and soy allergens.

The voluntary recall was initiated by Latitude 36 Foods, which supplied the individual packets of dressing and toppings included in Taylor Farms salad kits. The packets incorrectly included Asian Sesame Ginger dressing instead of the Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette, said Taylor Fresh Foods.

The error led to the possibility of undeclared sesame and soy allergens in the affected salad kits. Sesame and soy are among the nine most common food allergens, along with milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts and wheat, according to the USDA.

The recalled salad kits were distributed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia, the company said.

They have code dates starting with “TFRS” and “Best If Used By” dates through Sept. 4, 2025.

Consumers should not consume the recalled salad kits, but instead should immediately discard them. Consumers can also get a refund at their place of purchase.

As of Tuesday, the company had received no reports of illnesses, according to the notice.

Consumers with additional questions can call 855-455-0098.
